2026 MADSEC Annual Awards
MADSEC deeply appreciates the dedication, passion, and hard work of administrators of special education who make a profound impact on the lives of students with disabilities. Their commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments is truly commendable.
This year, at our Annual Awards Ceremony, we will recognize and celebrate an outstanding individual who has gone above and beyond in their role as an administrator -director or assistant director - for special education. In this recognition as the 2026 Administrator for Special Education of the Year, their efforts will not only have enhanced educational opportunities for students with disabilities and inspired others to continue striving for excellence in special education, but will have demonstrated professional growth and commitment to elevate special education across their region or the state.
MADSEC extends their heartfelt gratitude to all educators and professionals working in the field of special education.
Nominations will be made by the MADSEC Executive Committee with up to five selections being moved forward for selection by the MADSEC Awards Committee. In recognition of their remarkable contributions to the field, we look forward to honoring the award recipient on June 24th at the 2026 Directors' Academy held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine.
