Cancellation Policy

As we must commit to costs well in advance, cancellations received before June 2, 2017 will allow for a refund (registration fee, less a $10 administrative fee). However, there can be no refund after June 2, 2017 , but materials will be sent. We accept and encourage sending a substitute when your circumstances require it.
 
Room Reservations/Rates and Taxes

For your convenience MADSEC has reserved a block of rooms at the Atlantic Oceanside, Bar Harbor for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. In order to access these great rates you would need to make your reservations no later than May 20, 2017 directly with the Atlantic Oceanside at 800-336-2463.  Please mention “MADSEC” when making reservations to be eligible for the special Academy rate of $159 per night. In order to make your reservations onlin you will need to use group code:  27335.  To take advantage of the special MADSEC Academy rate of $159 per night, be sure to book your reservation by May 20, 2017 .  After this date, the official “MADSEC” blocks will be released and the hotel may charge significantly higher rates. There are a limited number of rooms so make your reservation early!  All rates are per room, per night and are subject to a 9% tax.
 
In the event that the block of rooms reserved at the Atlantic Oceanside are filled, MADSEC has also reserved a block of rooms at the Acadia Inn (207)288-3500) @ $140/night and Bar Harbor Motel (207)288-3453) @$145/night.  This block of rooms will be available June 20, 21 & 22.
 
 *Individual room deposits, equal to one night's room rate, are due at the time of booking.  Individual deposits are refundable, less a $25 administrative fee, given notification 8 days prior to arrival date.  Cancellations received with 7 or fewer days' notice are subject to a fee equal to one night's lodging.
 
** Discount for Member districts  **
The first two (2) registrants from the same district will pay full price ($389) and any additional registrant(s) from the same district will be charged a reduced rate of $359.  A registration form must be completed for each individual participant.  Discounts will be applied at the time of invoicing.
