There are basically two classifications for membership with MADSEC: Active and Associate.
Our active members are special education administrators in public schools, private schools, or directors of Child Development Services (CDS) sites in the State of Maine. Associate members include apprentice, honorary, retired, professional other, and secretary. Both classifications come with their own requirements and benefits.
Individual Active Membership ($350)
All Maine special education administrators, full-time or part-time, in public school units, private schools and CDS sites, are eligible for full MADSEC membership. All staff in the unit are entitled to member rates for MADSEC events.
Local Education Agency (LEA) Membership ($500.00)
LEA Membership includes full Active Membership for one administrator of special education, an Active Membership for a second administrator of special education (full-time or part-time), and an Administrative Assistant Membership for one special education office support staff member. Additional administrators of special education and support staff may be members @ $30.00.

For educators other than special education administrators, and for other individuals, firms, organizations and agencies who wish to maintain an affiliation with MADSEC
- Administrative Assistant ($35)
For any special education office support staff whose administrator is a member. A workshop each Spring for support staff is a member service.
